Assessment and Data

The Department of Assessment helps ensure that testing and data are used in meaningful ways to support student learning across Jennings School District. Our team works closely with schools to collect and share assessment information that helps answer important questions about teaching and learning.

Why Assessments Matter

Assessments give teachers valuable insight into how students are learning. This helps teachers plan lessons, adjust instruction, and provide extra support when needed. They also help the district and state measure how well students are progressing.

The main goal of testing is not just to measure—but to improve learning by giving timely feedback about each student’s strengths and areas for growth.

College & Career Readiness

At Jennings, we support assessments that prepare students for life beyond high school. In addition to required state tests, the district pays for at least one ACT test for students who do not qualify for a fee waiver—helping ensure every student has access to college readiness opportunities.

Our "Why":

To empower a community of learners by providing diverse real-world experiences that foster leadership and eliminate barriers.
